Locations I Love.
“Whats a good place to go?” I get this question A LOT from my clients. Finding a location isn’t always the easiest. A lot of spots in my area are busy in the summer months, full of tourists, or just not easily accessible for everyone. This blog will give you a couple ideas for spot I love to shoot at, and when is best!
Beltzville State Park
Even though summer months are way too overcrowded, Spring and Fall are beautiful! Beltzville has so many spots for beautiful backgrounds in your photos.
The covered bridge is one of my all time favorite spots. I’m one for rustic looks and nice depth in pictures. It’s great for portraits, and family sessions.
The lake of course, also makes for some pretty scenery!
Mauch Chunk Lake Dam
Mauch Chunk Lake Dam is also one of those places that gives you multiple spots for beautiful photos! The dam gives you the option of having the lake in the background, while the green fields around can give an entirely different look!
Covered Bridge - Slatington
We love another covered bridge option! This cute little bridge overlooks Trout Creek. Theres so many open windows for different angled shots!
Lock Ridge Park - Alburtis
This location is my all-time favorite i’ve shot at! Theres countless stone structures that make for the best pictures!
Along with all the gorgeous structures, there are bright fields and bridges, and even a creek if you’re daring enough to go in!
Keep note that I do charge a travel fee for this location and permits are requires for photography sessions here (additional fee).
D&L Trail- Lehighton Canal
This trail offers a couple nice spots for sessions! Depending on the day and time, there may be some others walking the trail. But I love the little area that overlooks the river.
Lehigh Gorge State Park
If you don’t mind a little walking and adventure this ones for you! There are tons of different locations here for awesome pictures.
Jim Thorpe
I’m a big fan of these spots! The bridge is gorgeous and makes for some really cool pictures. Jim Thorpe is such a cute little town with so many spots. The only downfall is you’ll have to pay for parking either on the street (if you can find it) or in the county lot, and it can be extremely busy during certain times of the year.
